Monza Auto handles body and paint work for classic and vintage cars in Tallinn. We assess rust, panel damage, and geometry, plan the restoration scope, and carry out body, paint, and frame work on a Car Bench bench and in a Blowtherm spray booth. Our focus is body and finish — not full mechanical, interior, or chrome restoration.

Why classic restoration is different

Older cars use different materials, construction, and paint systems. We assess condition and build a realistic plan before work begins.

Rust and metalwork

Rust damage needs proper removal, metal repair, or panel replacement. We assess whether to repair or replace so the result lasts.

Original or period-correct paint

We match factory colour codes or period-appropriate finishes. Older paint layers need careful preparation and the right approach.

Panel work and alignment

We straighten, weld, or replace damaged panels. Correct alignment matters for both appearance and structure.

Structural geometry and frame

For heavier damage or long-term sag we restore body geometry on a Car Bench frame bench.

Full concours restoration, engine rebuilds, and interior restoration are not part of our core services.

How restoration starts

  1. Inspection

Bring the car to our workshop or send photos. We assess rust, panel damage, and the scope of work.

  2. Plan and quote

We prepare a staged plan and quote based on your priorities and budget.

  3. Bodywork

We complete the agreed metalwork, panel repairs, and frame work where needed.

  4. Paint and finish

We paint and finish to the agreed colour code or period standard.

Frequently asked questions

Do you do partial or full body restoration?

Yes — scope depends on the car's condition and your goals. We can start with specific panels or rust repairs and expand the plan in stages.

How long does classic restoration take?

Timing depends on rust, panel condition, and scope. Partial work may take weeks; larger body and paint projects take longer. We give an estimate during assessment.

Can I send photos before visiting?

Yes. Send photos with a short description and vehicle details. A workshop inspection may be needed for an accurate quote.

Do you restore engines or interiors?

No — our focus is body, paint, and frame. Engine, gearbox, electronics, and interior restoration are not part of our services.

Will insurance cover classic car damage?

It depends on the incident and policy. For traffic accidents we can work with insurers where applicable; older car restoration is usually owner-funded.

Can a rust-through body be restored?

Often yes, but scope varies. We assess the metalwork required and advise honestly before work starts.
